no. 2 - Katsuya
Katsuya
We finally made it to our second restaurant of 39! We went to the Katsuya in Glendale because it is so convenient and we love The Americana (the outdoor mall area that this location is at). The atmosphere at The Americana is always amazing and at night, so romantic with the music and the fountain dancing in the courtyard of the entire area.

We ordered the spicy edamame to start and it was DELICIOUS
We ordered different rolls to share:
Spicy Lemontail / Salom Lemon / Avocado Roll (for me)
John also got a mushroom BOP which was four types of mushrooms in a bowl with rice and other flavors
I got the Sake Spritz
John got the Jasmine Margarita
& Chocolate cake dessert
$120 after tip
Tips - Definitely try the spicy edamame (it’s not spicy)
You can sit outside on the upper patio for an even better view of The Americana
Katsuya is one of those mainstream sushi spots in LA. It is pricy (as most sushi is) and I thought was going to be overrated but it did not disappoint. The service was perfect, he helped us out when we needed and left us to chat for awhile once our food was coming out. The drinks were light and fresh, although John wished he had gotten something a little more daring/interesting than a margarita. If you are going to get edamame, try the spicy one. It was a 5/10 on the spicy scale but hiiiiigh on the scale of flavor.
